More about Glenna

My whole life, I have been a "mother hen," and even as a young child I dreamed of becoming a doctor and saving the world. Big dreams for a small town girl! Before graduating high school though, my dreams changed. I still wanted to be able to help people, but being a doctor wasn't my dream anymore. I had already been accepted to Vincennes University and had earned a spot on the volleyball team, so I knew that VU would be the start of my education. After discussion with my advisor and parents, I decided to give the Massage Therapy program a try. It would turn out to be the best decision of my career. Let me tell you what, I fell IN LOVE with everything about massage. My goal since then has always been to be a small business owner and dedicate my career to helping people manage their pain and improve their quality of life.

 --------------------------------------------------------------

I completed the Massage Therapy (Associate's Degree) program at Vincennes University in 2008. I earned a Cum Laude degree by working hard to be the best in my class. I have more than 850 hours of schooling for massage therapy, including anatomy and physiology, kinesiology (study of movement and muscles), pathology, ethics and many, many, MANY hours of hands-on bodywork.

After completing my degree at VU, I transferred to Oakland City University to finish out my college volleyball career and to further my education. I graduated from OCU in December of 2009 with a Bachelor's Degree in Health (Non-teaching). My classes at OCU covered topics such as fitness & nutrition, first aid & CPR, and community health.

After graduating college, I spent four years working as the lead therapist in a busy chiropractor's office in Washington, Indiana. My husband and I had to move to Muncie in April 2013 to further his career as an Indiana Conservation Officer. At that time, my massage career was limited to mobile massage appointments when we came home to visit on the weekends. We were able to move back to Southern Indiana in April 2015, and I feel very blessed to have this opportunity to pursue my dreams of owning my own business.

  --------------------------------------------------------------

I am proud to say that I have held a "Certified Massage Therapist" title from the State of Indiana since 2009.  I am also a member of several other professional organizations, including the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals. I love learning new things and being involved with other members of my profession. One of my favorite things is challenging myself to learn new skills and techniques. Whenever possible, I enjoy taking continuing education classes to keep myself as knowledgeable as possible.

My husband Tim and I currently live near Chrisney, Indiana with our children. We were both born and raised in Southwest Indiana and we will always call this area "home." We spend most of our free time being outdoors, either hunting or fishing. Life has been very good to us, and I cannot wait to see what our future holds.
